Be aware that there are two types of Titan procedure machines:
- Dr. Leiker has the XEO w/ TITAN™ selling for $195,000, and other offices often have the much cheaper Titan Solera selling for $85,000.
- Our clinics XEO w/ TITAN™ runs on 220 volts, the cheaper Titan Solera runs on 110 volts.
- The XEO w/ TITAN™ comes with the Genesis Skin Rejuvenation System, which Dr. Leiker often does with many of his Skin Tightening Procedures.
- Dr. Leiker has found that the two procedures together can often provide a superior end result for the skin. The Titan Solera cannot perform the Genesis procedure or the LUX DEEP IR.
- Now we also have LUX DEEP IR Fractional Skin Tightening for larger surface areas or a second "DUAL" or even "triple" tightening method.
The Titan/LUX IR procedure causes collagen to contract and thus tighten the skin. The Genesis procedure reaches deep into the dermis to stimulate new collagen formation and target the microvasculature. In our own clinical patients, Dr. Leiker has seen the Genesis and Titan procedure combinations reduce fine lines and wrinkles and add to the skin tightening effect. Further, XEO w/ TITAN™ in our office (not the Solera) can perform “three dimensional skin rejuvenation.”
Dr. Leiker feels it is mandatory, for the patient's safety, to have a physician perform the skin tightening procedure to receive the best result. Many offices use technicians or nurses.

How does the Titan or Lux IR work?
Titan/LUX IR utilizes a safe, infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin's surface. This heating can cause immediate collagen contraction. During the procedure, the skin's surface (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling with the Titan or LUX IR handpiece. After the procedure, new collagen growth and contraction results in further tightening and with tissue remodeling the molecules rejoin and the results are ususually less folds, looseness, and laxity of the skin.
Imagine a rubberband that is all stretched out. Then imagine that the rubberband is treated with Titan/LUX IR-like energy, and it becomes more elastic and much tighter.

Who can be treated with Titan systems?
Since the Titan/LUX IR procedure is heating tissue under the skin's surface, patients of any skin type can be treated. Men and women of all ages have been successfully treated. Your physician can advise you if the Titan/LUX IR is right for you.
How many treatments will I need?
A single treatment has produced good results for some patients. Your physician will advise you as to the number and frequency of treatments recommended for optimal results. They are often done in series of two or three.
What happens after the treatment? Any side effects?
Immediately following the treatment, you may notice some redness and very mild swelling in the treated area. Both should dissipate within a few hours. Consult with your physician for complete information on the benefits and risks of treatment.
Dr. Leiker has never seen burns or skin depressions with his skin tightening systems. Competitor systems have had problems in the past with burns and skin depressions.
When will I see results?
Some patients see results almost immediately. However, for most patients, the results are gradual over a three to six month period as new collagen is formed and the existing collagen is heated and contracts with further tightening.
What do treatments feel like?
With each Titan/LUX IR pulse, you will feel a brief heating sensation. Some patients are more comfortable taking a mild pain reliever beforehand. Many patients are comfortable without anything. Your physician will advise you.

clinics are misleading patients that they are physician supervised.
